Hi I’m Emma. I will be behind the lens when I photograph your much-loved pet.
I know what its like to try and get good pictures of animals. They are often scared of the camera and many won’t sit still. When my old labrador was nearing the end of his life, I set up a makeshift studio one weekend that consisted of some old black felt I found in the cupboard from an art project and the lamp from my desk. I had no idea what I was doing, but it was so important to me to get some kind of picture I could hang on the wall. He was the first dog that I owned by myself, and he was what some people describe as my heart dog. He had been with me through some of the toughest times of my life and I don’t know what I would have done without him.
When he passed away, I was so grateful to have those pictures that I had made that rainy saturday, and I still have them hanging above my desk when I edit the photos of your dogs.
I understand how sad it is to know that our dogs (or any other pet for that matter) don’t live as long as we do, and that even though we don’t want to think about it, we dread the day that we have to say goodbye.
I want to help devoted pet parents, freeze time and remember their animals when they are at their best. I want to create an awesome experience for you from start to finish. From the first phone conversation, to the day we go out and create our images, all the way to getting your artwork printed for your house.
Its so important to me, because I know how much your pets mean to you. I know you can always take some pictures of your dog with your camera phone and get them printed at a cheap store. …but I’m here to help if you want something more, if you want a piece of art instead of a snap shot. I can’t wait to work with you to achieve the results you after.
I’m based in Lennox Head and also service Lismore, Byron Bay, Ballina and the greater North Coast region. I can travel further to snap your beloved dog if required, so please contact me to discuss.
I have studied a specialized course in dog photography and passed my exam to be registered as a Dog Photography Master.
